Terms and Conditions
Bookings & Payments
As we work on a 'first come, first served' basis, you may request a period by filling in and submitting the form on the Enquiries page.
We will advise you, usually within 48 hours, whether the period you request is free and will include a link to the web site which you can use to pay either the deposit or full amount, see * below.
We will then 'hold' the period for 5 working days to allow time for your payment to reach us.
For visitors from outside the UK, we can offer three methods of payment, a
crossed sterling cheque drawn on a UK branch of your bank and made payable to Mr
& Mrs Underhill, direct funds transfer from your bank to ours - e-mail us
for our bank details and other conditions - or via
as above.
* A non-refundable deposit of £50 per week booked, either via a crossed sterling
cheque drawn on a UK bank and made payable to Mr & Mrs Underhill, or through
is required to secure your booking.
Balance of payment is due six weeks prior to arrival date, but bookings
made within six weeks of arrival date are payable in full at time of booking.
No booking is considered firm until either your deposit or full payment is cleared by or, in the case of a cheque, by our bank
Arrival & Departures
Glenview Cottage will be ready for you at 3pm (15:00hrs) and should be vacated
by 10am (10:00hrs) on day of departure.
Access to Glenview Cottage
Glenview Cottage will only be available for your occupation after full payment
has been received and cleared by our bank.
Cleaning
The property should be left clean and tidy on departure and, if you bring a pet,
particular attention should be paid to removal of pet hairs.
Damages
All damages and losses should be reported prior to departure. Damages and losses
may be charged for.
Cancellations
Should you have to cancel, every endeavour will be made to re-let Glenview. Your
payment (less deposit) will be refunded if Glenview is subsequently re-let.
We are sorry but we have to advise you
of extended conditions regarding smoking and pets but this has become necessary
due to a very small number of inconsiderate people we have had stay at Glenview
Cottage.
Smoking
Along with all enclosed public spaces in Scotland, smoking is strictly not
allowed in Glenview Cottage.
Smoking in Glenview Cottage grounds is allowed, as long as smoke is not
allowed to enter Glenview Cottage.
If smoking in Glenview Cottage grounds, care must be taken to avoid fire and
littering.
Pets
We only allow one pet, details must be disclosed at the time of booking.
Additional and/or undisclosed pets arriving with owners, will only be allowed
into Glenview Cottage at our discretion.
Pets are not allowed on the furniture, even if the furniture is covered,
or in the bathroom or bedrooms as we have to respect future guests who may have
an allergy.
Your pet must be kept on a lead when on Glenview Cottage grounds and
exercised outside Glenview Cottage grounds.
Under no circumstances must a pet be left unattended in Glenview Cottage.
Please be aware that it is illegal in Scotland not to clear up after your pet.
We respectfully suggest that you consider bringing a suitable enclosure for
the night use of your pet as just confining them to the lounge or the hallway
is not acceptable.
We reserve the right to charge, at our discretion, for any damage caused by any
pet.
Failure to observe either of the smoking or pets clauses above may result in you
being asked to prematurely terminate your stay with us.
Acceptance of Terms & Conditions
By submitting your deposit and the Booking Form, you are agreeing to each and
every aspect of the Terms and Conditions above.
