Q: Are pets allowed in Glenview Cottage?
A: We allow one pet only; details must be disclosed at the time of booking.
Q: What is included in the rental?
A: The rental includes electricity, all towels and bed linen.
Q: I would like to stay during midweek or a long weekend. Is this possible?
A: Glenview Cottage is let on a weekly basis with change-over on Saturday,
however we do offer 3 and 4 night breaks at certain times of the year. Please contact us with your requirements.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Sorry, Glenview Cottage is strictly a no-smoking holiday home.
Q: What do I do in case of an emergency?
A: A list of important telephone numbers, e.g. medical services, fire, police, coast guard etc. is
provided as well as other useful numbers, such as restaurants.
Q: We like to worship on Sunday, where are the local churches situated?
A: A list of local churches is included in Glenview Cottage.
Q: Is there a telephone in Glenview Cottage?
A: Sorry, no, and mobile (cell) phone coverage is intermittant at best.
There is a public call box in the village. In the case of an emergency, our phone can be used.
Q: Is the internet available in Glenview Cottage?
A: We regret that due to the legal restraints detailed in the 1998 Data Protection Act
and the Digital Economy Act 2010, we are unable to offer guests WiFi internet access.
Q: Where do I pick up the key?
A: We live on the same site as Glenview Cottage so we will be here to welcome you,
hand over the keys and show you around the cottage. Should there be any change to this, we will advise you of
where to collect the keys as soon as we are aware of a change.
Q: We have heard that 'faulty' electrical items have been found in some holiday homes,
are all electrical items in Glenview Cottage safe?
Arrival & Departure
A: ALL the portable electrical appliances in Glenview Cottage are independently safety tested (PAT tested) each year,
and a certificate is on view in Glenview Cottage to show this.
Q: At what time is the cottage available upon arrival?
A: The cottage is available from 3:00 pm (15:00) on your day of arrival.
Q: When do I have to vacate the cottage?
A: We kindly ask you to leave the cottage before 10:00
am (10:00) on your day of departure to leave time for cleaning for the next guests.
Q: Is there a washing machine and tumble dryer?
A: Washing machine only but access to a tumble dryer can be arranged, please contact us.
Q: Is there a freezer?
A: Yes, there is.
Q: Is off road parking available?
A: Yes, the cottage has ample parking.
Q: Does the cottage accommodate for wheelchair access?
Enquiries, reservations and bookings
A: Glenview Cottage is suitable for assisted wheelchair access and is equipped for assisted disabled use.
Q: How do I make an enquiry, a reservation or a booking?
A: Enquiries, reservations and bookings can be made
either through our online enquiries page or by
contacting us via 'phone, e-mail or letter.
Q: How do I secure my reservation?
A: Upon receipt of your enquiry we will send you an
email with instructions regarding payment of your
deposit. The receipt of your deposit confirms your
reservation. Bookings can be made by telephone, letter
or email. As we advertise in different ways the booking
will only be firm when confirmed by us to avoid any
conflict. We advise early booking to prevent
Q: When do I have to pay my deposit to secure my reservation?
A: A deposit of £50GBP of the rental for each week booked is required to
confirm the booking. See the Terms and Conditions page for further information.
Q: When do I pay the remaining balance?
A: The remaining balance of the hire charge is due six weeks before
your arrival date, or if booking within this time, full payment is required to secure your booking.
Please note that international payments may take up to two weeks to appear in our bank
Q: I have made an enquiry within six weeks of my arrival date. What do I do?
Tariff and Payments
A: If booking within six weeks of your arrival date, we kindly ask you to pay the full rental at the time of booking.
You do not need to pay a deposit.
Q: I can't find your tariffs on the site, how do I know what a holiday costs?
A: We have now included a page which shows our tariffs per week, which for 2013 have been kept
at or near our 2011 prices. Click here.
We also offer 3 and 4 night breaks between 1st October and 31st March.

Q: How do I pay the deposit or balance for my booking?
A: Payment may be made by cheque drawn on a UK branch of your bank or by
